Well written. You are 100% correct, it is more than stats that make the player, and fair weather fans always forget that fact.

The NCAA is such a bunch of garbage. They make billions of dollars off these kids and criminalize anything they do to cash in on their status. Why is that even legal? I realize they sell that sanctimonious bullshit about the purity of the college athlete, but when you're 21 years old, generating tens of millions of dollars for your university and the NCAA, why is it against the rules to use that to your personal advantage? Why can the NCAA periodically suspend the rules of capitalism? When Tebow was at Florida the football program generated over $260 million, but fortunately, they pay their AD $1.2 million to make sure neither him nor his teammates see enough of that money to improve their future in anyway. You see, their job is to go out there and risk injury to maintain Mark Emmert's expense account...

haha, very good point my friend. Just imagine Ray Ray as a disgruntled 65 year old because he's limited to a wheelchair, and obviously can't do anything competitive anymore...he might be a serial killing senior citizen

I think Ray Lewis is mistaken. It isn't the public we have to watch out for if we have no pro football- it is the athletes we should be scared of, and that includes Ray Lewis!
